‘Through Time 時光流逝‘ is the first original composition written specifically for Spire. Effectively blending both Western and Eastern musical styles, each instrument plays a vital role in creating the overall sound of the piece, and their individual lines join together to create multiple simultaneous melodies and harmonies. ‘Through Time‘ evokes a sense of timelessness and eternity, and is a musical journey that aims to tell a story without words.

Program Note:
‘A Moment Forever 永遠的一刻’ is the second piece in a series composed specifically for Spire. A sequel to ‘Through Time 時光流逝’ (composed for Spire’s debut concert in 2012), ‘A Moment Forever 永遠的一刻’ improves upon the ideas presented in the first piece. With more maturity, and a more refined approach, this composition reflects on living in Taiwan, and the experiences and adventures encountered there.
